Fashion Bomb Album Art Complete
Visions of the Lifted Veil is the title of Fashion Bomb’s second full length release and when Val and the crew needed an epic design for the epic concept, they turned to the guy that was able to spin their twisted vision and bring it to life: Stephen Jensen and F3 Studios. The album is set to be released this summer on Full Effect Records and the artwork has just been completed.

Fashion Bomb masterminds Val and Acid first met with Stephen in October 2008 to discuss their world domination plans for this new record. At that point the album lacked a title but the band was clear that they wanted the album to be massive and a package that was chock full of imagery. The cover itself would end up being a three-panel fold out much like they did with their previous album with F3 called “Devils To Some / Angels To Others”. The theme would be apocalypse and the cover would feature a frozen destruction scene of the Chicago skyline with the band front and center as supreme beings amidst all of the chaos. The band came up with the title “Visions of the Lifted Veil” which evolved out of the concept as apocalypse literally translated means “lifting of the veil” from the original Greek. Stephen loved the metaphor as it lent itself well to putting together cool visuals.
The band wanted to appear on the cover as if they were walking through an unseen veil from another dimension into the cover scene. Frontman Val has already passed through the veil and stands facing the viewer while the rest of the band are walking into the scene. Guitarist Acid and bassist Trace are walking in flanking Val while Drone 1 and Drone 2 (guitarist and drummer) are semi-transparent and beginning to appear as they pass through the veil. Throughout the layout there are other visual references to stories like 1984, The Time Machine, and 2001: A Space Odyssey.
The package contains six panels on the digipak as well as a 20 page booklet with each track having its own concept and unique art. This album was the largest package that F3 Studios has created for an album and included four models, several scale models and props created by Patrick Szczypinski, Sylvia Jensen and Jason Meudt, and hundreds of photos shot by Stephen to make it a reality. The artwork is officially complete for this latest studio effort by FB and we couldn’t be happier. This was quite an undertaking and the studio was able to deliver on all of Val’s conceptual desires from initial outlining, to building the props, to all the photography, to the illustration/design of the final images.
