Stephen Jensen – Art Director, Designer, Photographer, Guy in Charge

Stephen Jensen is an award-winning entertainment art director, photographer, and graphic designer and founder of F3 Studios in Crystal Lake, IL. Stephen is known mostly for his work in the music and entertainment industries on album covers and packaging. Stephen received his BA in graphic design at Columbia College of Chicago focusing mainly on graphic design, photography, and typography. Stephen’s style comes from a combination of unique photography, photo direction, and photo manipulation, and a strong sense of color, design, and typography. With influences from the early art masters to his modern day peers, Stephen’s work balances elegance and precision with chaos and decadence. Some of his pieces offer deep concepts and photorealistic imagery, while others are studies in color, design, typography, and structure.

Sylvia Jensen – Clothing/Wardrobe, Set Dressing, Book-keeping, Scheduling, Organizer of Chaos, Wife-ssistant, +1

As the name may suggest, Sylvia is Stephen’s wife and biggest fan. She’s been making clothes and dressing people since she was a little girl growing up in Poland (back then, they were dolls, not people) and is now making custom clothes for rockstars, branded under the name Wornstar, and using her extensive wardrobe  and sewing skills to dress many of the people who step in front of Stephen’s camera. She’s also responsible for a lot of the set styling that goes on for our larger productions. Since the inception of F3 Studios in 1994, she’s been handling the business end of the studio and is the one who keeps the gears oiled and rolling. Many of the social updates and behind-the-scenes photos you all see come from her camera as well.  +1, as she is often affectionately called, comes from the fact that she and Stephen usually go to live shows together when he’s working shows and they’re listed at the box office as “Stephen Jensen +1″.
